The Career of Isabelle Mercier in the World of Poker

Isabelle Mercier is one female poker professional who exudes simplicity at poker tables. She is not like most poker professionals who have to wear hats or sunglasses or other weird stuff in an attempt to distract their opponents. There are even poker professionals who bring such things as oranges or other kinds of fruits for they allegedly bring luck to the players. Some even wear amulets for good luck. But Isabelle Mercier does not wear any weird stuff or being anything as lucky charm. This female poker professional does not even dress up in a weird manner. As a matter of fact, she simply looks like any other typical woman that we see walking on the street or eating at restaurants. She just exudes simplicity, a trait that has been making her succeed in the world of poker.

Born in Victoriaville, Quebec on August 5, 1975, Isabelle Mercier learned how to play poker during her childhood days. The first poker opponents she had were her uncles and her father. At such an early age, she developed an interest in the game, vowing to herself that she would find a work related to the poker industry when she grew up. True enough, she first found a job as a dealer and eventually found a better job as a poker manager of the Aviation Club de France. This posed a great opportunity for her to learn how to play poker well until she got convinced that she could leave her job to become a female poker professional instead.

However, Isabelle Mercier had a life distant from the poker world before she got bitten by the poker bug. With her educational background, no one would actually think that she would end up being a female poker professional. She studied at the Université de Montréal to obtain an undergraduate law degree. She then practiced commercial law before eventually relocating to Paris, France to obtain her master's degree. But just like most poker professionals, she just realized how interested she was in poker that she did not even think twice about pursuing such ambition.

The first time that Isabelle Mercier caught the attention of poker fans and her fellow poker professionals was when she won an €800 No Limit Hold'em event featured at the Masters Classic of Poker tournament that was held in Amsterdam in the Netherlands in 2002. This female poker professional ended up as a runner up, winning US$53,499.

At the Ladies' Night tournament of the World Poker Tour in 2004, Isabelle Mercier won first prize. After such victory, she earned the nickname "No Mercy," which was given to her by poker professional Mike Sexton.

With typical looks and typical hobbies of listening to music and watching movies, Isabelle Mercier definitely has the power to deceive her poker opponents. Well, as long as her appearance is making her succeed, there is no need to change anything.
